Brokerage relationships
Two of our advisors also work as business brokers with First Choice Business Brokers:Mike Lee, covering Utah, Montana, Wyoming and western Colorado, and Anna Frachou, based in Park City and focused on Northern Utah.
Exit Path Advisors is not owned by or affiliated with First Choice Business Brokers.It is a separate practice. First Choice Business Brokers has no role in our engagements and receives nothing from them.
If you later sell a business through First Choice Business Brokers, the advisor involved may earn a brokerage commission. That is a reason to know about the relationship, and a reason the engagement letter states in writing that you are free to take the business to any broker.
The Exit Files
The Exit Files is a free education site published by Mike Lee, who is also an advisor here. Links from that site to this one point at a paid service connected to its author, and are marked as such in the page source. The free readiness score there is built so that a high score recommends a broker rather than a paid engagement.
Ownership
The practice is currently being formed and the ownership structure is not settled. This page will state it plainly once it is. Until then we are not making any claim about who owns what, in either direction.

Claims about results
Any figure we publish about our own engagements will carry the metric definition, the period and the sample size, or it will not appear. Where we cite industry statistics, the source is named on the same page. Where a commonly repeated figure cannot be traced to a real source, we do not use it.

Nothing on this site is legal, tax, accounting or investment advice. Engagements involve working alongside your own accountant and attorney rather than replacing them.
