Darren Hopman
Darren Hopman has spent 25 years in business, eight of them coaching owners through the operational changes that make a company work without them.
Darren Hopman brings 25 years in business, including eight as a business coach, to the part of exit preparation that owners find hardest: changing how the company actually runs.
He holds an MBA and is a Certified Organizational Development Coach, which is a useful combination here. Most of what makes a business sellable is organisational rather than financial: who makes decisions, whether the knowledge sits in one person’s head, whether a team can carry the work when the owner steps back. That is development work before it is deal work.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, he brings a disciplined, mission-driven approach to the organisations he serves, which matters on a twelve to twenty-four month plan where the failure mode is drift rather than disagreement.
Outside work he spends his time on leatherworking, reading, football, travel, and above all his family.
